AI-First Development

This document defines ConnectSoft's AI-first development philosophy. It is written for architects, engineers, and anyone building systems where AI agents are the primary producers of code, documentation, and infrastructure.

AI-first development means designing systems where agents are the primary producers and humans are curators, deciders, and supervisors. This is not about bolting AI onto existing processes—it's about reimagining software development around agent capabilities and constraints.

Principles of AI-First Development

AI-first development at ConnectSoft follows these principles:

Risks, Limits and Human-in-the-Loop

While agents are powerful, there are limits and risks:

Risks of Over-Trusting Agents

Warning

Never deploy generated code without review. Agents can generate syntactically correct but logically flawed code. Always review critical paths, security-sensitive code, and business logic before deployment.
